We need you to send the petition link to everyone in your address book and encourage them to sign it. Each of us has the power to see this number grow! Please take a moment and forward this link now. We also encourage you to read the petition and the comments that people are posting, these serve as more reminders of what we’re all working towards. CLICK HERE TO SIGN AND READ THE PETITION ============================== #2 DIX PARK RESOLUTION PASSES AT WAKE COUNTY DEMOCRATIC PRECINCT MEETINGS The Dix Park Resolution to preserve 306 acres of the Dix campus for a destination park was the number one resolution passed by Wake County Precincts earlier this year. Several DIX306 and FDDP members attended their precinct meetings to bring up the resolution for discussion. According to Bill Padgett there were at least nine different precincts that passed this resolution. The Resolutions Committee is meeting at the Democratic Headquarters this Saturday, April 14 at 9:00 a.m. at 220 Hillsborough Bldg, the Godwin House in Raleigh, folks are welcome. Since this Resolution was passed by more precincts than any other resolution, some of us will attend the resolution meeting and encourage high priority to move the Resolution to the Wake County Convention April 21st. As the top resolution, we believe that it should be early (close to 9:00) on the agenda this Saturday if you are interested in attending. More importantly, please mark your calendar for the Wake County Democratic Convention on April 21. Anyone can attend but only delegates can vote; however we encourage all supporters of a destination park for NC to attend. The starting time is 9:30 am to 12:30 pm at Knightdale High School, 100 Bryan Chalk Lane in Knightdale. We hope that the resolution started here in Wake County will move though the Wake County Convention and on to the State Convention as a very high priority. We are hopeful a similar resolution will be adopted in Republican political circles. FDDP and DIX306 are fortunate to have support from members from all political parties. ============================== #3 DIX PARK IN THE NEWS!
