NEXT MONDAY IS THE DIX ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION AT THE RALEIGH COUNCIL CHAMBERS #3 HAVE YOUR FRIENDS SIGNED THE DIX PARK PETITION YET? ============================== #1 PRAISE FOR OUR LEADER IN THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY NC Senator Janet Cowell continues to work hard every day in the General Assembly to support the vision and plans for Dix Park – all 306 acres. It would be great if she could continue to hear from as many of you as possible. We need to remind her how many people are behind her and supporting her. NEXT MONDAY IS THE DIX ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION AT THE RALEIGH COUNCIL CHAMBERS Monday, May 21 at 6 p.m. at the Raleigh City Council Chambers, City Hall (Corner of Hargett St. and Dawson Ave. in downtown Raleigh) The Greater Raleigh Merchants Association will host a roundtable discussion on the Dix property debate. This is a great chance to learn about the park plan and where we currently stand. The event is open to the public and we need to pack the room full of Dix Park supporters. It is crucial that you come out to this event. Just by being there, you will send a strong signal to others how important this is for our future. ============================== #3 HAVE YOUR FRIENDS SIGNED THE DIX PARK PETITION YET? The online petition has 4,000 signatures from people across the state and country that support a 306-acre destination park. We still need your help to reach our goal of 10,000 signatures. Please, please sign the petition if you have not already, and keep encouraging your friends, family and co-workers to sign - it only takes a few minutes.
