Event Details

Unleash your creativity in our all-ages art class at the park! With a new theme each session, participants will explore different artistic styles, techniques, and materials in a fun and welcoming environment. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced artist, this class offers a chance to express yourself, connect with others, and create something special. Best of all, you’ll take home a beautifully crafted piece of art after each session to cherish or share!

While free to attend, registration is required. Registration opens 2 weeks in advance at 12:00 pm, limit 2 tickets per order.
This program is free to the public thanks to Dix Park Conservancy donors.

Custom Sneakers

Join us for this hands-on workshop to bring life to an old pair of sneakers that need an artist’s touch, some uplifting and love! Participants will have time to brainstorm some unique ways to customize their sneakers, then dive right into a mixed media process using paints, charms and other neat and unique add-ons. Participants must bring a pair of sneakers or shoes that need uplifting and we’ll provide the rest!

April 30 - Registration

DIY Printmaking

Join us for a hands-on block relief printing workshop and explore the magic of rubber baseboards! A common material used in construction provides easy-to-carve blocks that are perfect for beginners, making it simple to design, carve, and print your own unique postcard-sized artworks. In just one session, you’ll learn how to work with  and turn rubber baseboards into a versatile printing tool, creating repeatable designs you can be proud of. No prior experience needed—just bring your creativity, and we’ll provide the rest! By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with your custom-carved block and a set of prints, and a way to keep experimenting at home. Artist Instructor: Zaire Miles-Moultrie
